Major Nelson announced today that he is no longer able to update the Xbox community on the status of Xbox LIVE due to a class-action lawsuit brought up against Microsoft for $5 Million. The plaintiffs in the suit claim Microsoft has breeched its contract and should have "provided adequate access and service to Xbox Live and its subscribers." Here is the official words from major himself:
"Unfortunately... a lawyer has decided to sue us, once that happens I can no longer make a comment [regarding the status of Xbox Live]. I apologize, but go talk to the lawyer."I mean who are these people suing Microsoft? Are they stupid or something? I'm pretty sure that Microsoft has some kind of clause in that contract that claims they can't guarantee access 100% of the time. It's not like they intended for the outage, they have already apologized and they are giving a free arcade game to everyone. I mean what else can they do?
