Ah, the subtle blue glow on the Wii. I don't get to see you much, but when I do I know something is up. Last night Nintendo released a Wii firmware update that adds on the gifting feature to the Wii shopping channel that allows you to buy a virtual console game or WiiWare game and give it to a friend. Along with the update is a new updated Photo Channel which takes away MP3 support and replaces it with AAC, upgrading to the new Photo Channel is optional and not required for the firmware update.
